Flu Shot…

Screen Shot 2015-12-03 at 9.48.09 AMIt’s been a while since I have posted anything in the Blog, sorry about that. With the holiday season upon us it has been nuts.
I went for my annual checkup this week and it was actually good news, my glucose levels and A1C levels are all OK, but cholesterol is a little high, can’t be perfect.
I also got the flu shot during the appointment. The shot is very important for diabetics so that they do not contract the influenza virus, which can cause all sorts of problems.
The issue that I have is that since I received the shot, I have been sick with flu-like symptoms (achey, fever, headache, etc.). I seem to get sick every time I get the shot.
I know that the discomfort that I am feeling right now is not even close to how sick I would be if I did get the flu, but this really sucks! I felt great before the shot, now I feel miserable and all I want to do is sleep…

Oh well, I am feeling better than I did yesterday, so I am hoping to be back to myself by the weekend.
