A Sad Day…

This has been an extremely sad day for our country and for the City of Las Vegas, Nevada.  On Sunday, October 1, 2017 during the Route 91 Country Music Festival a gunman open fired from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel across the street from the outdoor venue.

The gunman unleashed a barrage of automatic weapon fire on the 22,000+ concert goers, killing 59 and injuring over 500.  Cellphone videos have been released showing concert goers pinned down as a constant volley of gunfire is heard.

Las Vegas SWAT made entry into the gunman’s room just as he took his own life.

Our prayers and thoughts are for the families of the deceased and to those that have been injured by this senseless tragedy.  Our thoughts are also with the City of Las Vegas and the brave men and women of the Las Vegas Police Department.

At this time, there is no motive for this senseless act of violence.

Rumors are continuously swirling right now on whether this attack was influenced by ISIS (who has taken credit), or whether the shooter was a left-wing extremist that just, snapped. It is also unknown if the shooter acted alone or if there was any help provided.  A person of interest is currently being sought in the Philippines, but has not been apprehended as of this time.

Politicians are already positioning themselves to use this tragedy to better position themselves on the Gun Control Debate. This is absolutely disgusting!
